Upon Marrow’s departure from Lexington to Louisville, it became apparent that Strickland would be a top target for the ACC program. He backed off his pledge to UK shortly after and is now the boat for Marrow, head coach Jeff Brohm and the Cards.
The likes of Michigan, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech and Indiana have also offered Strickland throughout his recruitment. He now becomes a headlining member of the Cardinals’ 2026 class, alongside the likes of four-star cornerback Jaydin Broadnax, four-star quarterback Briggs Cherry and in-state four-star running back Evan Hampton.
