Hoosier State 2028 QB Chase Grove talks early offers from Minnesota and Purdue
Indianapolis (Ind.) North Central 2028 quarterback Chase Grove landed his second Big Ten offer from Minnesota on Thursday and tells Rivals he loves what PJ Fleck and his staff have built to date.
“Their quarterback Drake Lindsey had a great season and I love how they start a younger quarterback,” Grove continued. “They’re a winning program, almost always finish with a plus .500 season.
“And then Greg Harbaugh, the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterback Coach is a great coach and truly can evaluate talent and knows football at the highest level. I can’t wait to get down there this spring and summer!”
Minnesota joins Purdue in extending a scholarship to the young Hoosier State talent. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Grove has spoken highly of the Boilers in the past.

“Going through the experience with North Central where we have to turn the program around which we are doing, I think I really relate with what Coach (Barry) Odom and the staff are doing at Purdue,” Grove said. “Like North Central, even though the wins and losses don’t totally show it, I believe a lot of success is coming for Purdue. I also love their offense and feel like it’s a really good fit for my skill set.”
As a sophomore Grove threw for 1,901 yards and 19 touchdowns, completing 64 percent of his passes. He added four more rushing scores.
