Four-star WR Davion Brown commits to in-state Virginia Tech and James Franklin
Richmond (Va.) Trinity Episcopal School four-star receiver Davion Brown has committed to Virginia Tech.
The coveted in-state target chose to play for head coach James Franklin and the Hokies over Maryland and several others.
“I think I have a good opportunity to represent my state well and I also have a chance to play early and bring that spark back to Virginia Tech with Coach Franklin,” Brown said.
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Brown took his visit to Virginia Tech over the weekend. The opportunity to play for Franklin resonated.

“I think he knows how to create a winning culture and he has been recruiting me for a while now and so the trust and the connection we have built has been special,” Brown said.
Brown is a very dynamic playmaker that as a senior averaged nearly 25 yards per catch turning 26 receptions into 638 yards and nine touchdowns. He also rushed for 284 yards and eight more scores. He had a pick six, a kick return for a touchdown and a punt return for six as well.
The Rivals Industry ranks Brown as the nation’s No. 49 receiver.
