4-star DL Tico Crittendon commits to Florida State
Lithonia (Ga.) four-star defensive lineman Tico Crittendon has committed to Florida State, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Tuesday.
He chose the Seminoles while possessing a stacked offer sheet that also includes Florida, Georgia, Auburn, Texas A&M, Texas and Oregon.
Cirttendon is the No. 328 overall prospect and No. 32 DL in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 40 player in Georgia.
The 6-foot-3.5, 285-pounder took his official visit to Tallahassee on the weekend of June 13 and predictions began to flow in favor of head coach Mike Norvell and the Noles. FSU can picture Crittendon lining up all over the defensive line and he’s ready to contribute for the ACC program in due time.

“They are up there now, and I feel pretty great about the school,” Crittendon told Warchant following the OV. “It’s a little bit of everything: Bond, development, the way these guys work. And while location doesn’t matter to me, it’s that close to home — three hours away, so that’s a plus. It’s right there near home.”
He becomes the 14th commitment of the cycle for Norvell and Co. — and marks their fourth in the past five days. Last week, four-star wideout Brandon Bennett added his name to the ‘Noles commit list, choosing FSU over rival Miami and a host of others.
And then on Monday, three-star defensive lineman James Carrington and linebacker Noah LaVallee both joined in as well. The quartet of recent commitments moves FSU up to No. 14 nationally in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
