Colorado Buffaloes land 2025 EDGE Alexander McPherson
Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy three-star EDGE Alexander McPherson has announced his commitment to the Colorado Buffaloes.
Having decommitted from Oklahoma State on Nov. 26, McPherson chose the Buffs over the NC State Wolfpack. He officially visited Boulder on Nov. 16.
“The environment in Boulder was electric,” McPherson told Wiltfong after the OV. “There is so much energy there!
“What continues to excite me on top of the great coaching and development there is also a sense of mentorship from guys that have been there and done what you want to do. I believe that could be another advantage that helps get me to the next level.”

McPherson is the No. 865 overall prospect and No. 79 EDGE in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 112 player in the state of Florida.
Earlier this month, Colorado rocketed up the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings with the addition of Carrollton (Ga.) top-40 quarterback Julian Lewis. Lewis, previously a longtime USC commit, became the third highest-ranked prospect to commit to Colorado in the Deion Sanders era.
