Four-star Cody Peck started his official visits to Miami yesterday. The 6-foot-10 senior at Davidson (NC) Day School is scheduled to be at Miami until Jan. 30, and then he will visit Creighton Feb. 7-9. Peck has already taken official visits to Tennessee and Dayton.

Peck is the Industry’s No. 108 over player in the 2026 recruiting cycle, and the No. 14-ranked power forward. The four-star played this summer with the Garner Road travel program on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit.

Peck on Miami & Creighton

Cody Peck spoke with Rivals in a recent interview about what is sparking his intrigue with Miami and Creighton.

MIAMI: “Coach (Jai) Lucas called a few days ago, and it went great. He’s been to my game to watch me. They have a new team this year. So they are telling me that they don’t love the transfer portal, but they had to use it this year to build a team and start from scratch. So, I would love to keep learning more about them.”

CREIGHTON: “I mean, with them, it’s the coaches. The coaching staff comes out to my games, and they have been to some practices. We have a really good relationship. We text often, and call pretty regularly, too. We’re trying to set a visit with them now. But nothing’s quite set in stone yet.”

Where things stand with Tennessee & Dayton

In a recent interview with Rivals, Cody Peck discussed his visits to Tennessee and Dayton and how his relationship is growing with the coaches.

TENNESSEE: “I knew going into the visit that Coach (Rick) Barnes is a really good coach. I didn’t know his full history, so on my visit, I kind of got educated on that more. And the coaching staff, it’s like a family. They’re going to be hard on the players; they want their best because it’s out of place to love, and what’s best for the team. They don’t treat any players differently. All the way up and down the roster, they have high expectations as a top SEC school. I saw that they are a very competitive program.

“They have beautiful facilities. I mean, you walk through, even just the training buildings, you see a bunch of pictures, plaques, you know that they really love their history there. And all the facilities there are top-tier, really nice. Everything is new, everything’s up to date.”

DAYTON: ” I got to see more of their play style and their coaching style. I’m really close to coaches, so it was good to have a few days where I could talk to them more. And just see how they developed their players. They got two or three dudes in the NBA right now that are at my position.
So, definitely taking that into consideration. When I visited, it was still preseason, so I didn’t get to see a game, but they say the atmosphere is crazy; they said the whole season was already sold out.”

“Our relationship is great, we’re texting every day. I mean, I wouldn’t say the relationship has grown more, but that is just because of how much Coach (James) Kane and Coach (Anthony) Grant have been pushing for me since the beginning. So, you know, everything with them is steady. I mean, they text me almost every day.”

In Cody Peck’s words

“With me, and my decision, the main thing I am looking for is development,” Peck told Rivals in a recent interview. “I mean, obviously, I need weights and physical development, but I would like the opportunity for minutes coming in, so I’ll want to know their plan for me.”
