4-star OT Bennett Warren sets commitment date, names top four schools

Sugar Land (Texas) Fort Bend Christian Academy four-star offensive tackle Bennett Warren has no shortage of options when it comes to where he’ll end up playing in college. Now he’s ready to narrow those options down and make a decision.

The 6-foot-7.5, 330-pounder will make his college decision on July 31 choosing between Michigan, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas A&M.

Bennett visited all four of those schools for official visits in June. He was at Texas A&M on June 2, Michigan on June 9, Oklahoma on June 16 and Tennessee was his last stop of the month as he made his way to Rocky Top on June 23.

“It was a really eventful weekend for sure,” Warren said of the visit to Tennessee. “It was definitely my favorite recruiting weekend by far. I got to do a whole lot of stuff and got to have a whole lot of fun. I got to go out on the water and posted that a whole lot.

…Just having good fun and getting around a lot of players was different. I love this coaching staff. They are very jokey and fun to be around, and they can still win doing it.”

The trip to Knoxville was the first for Warren but his official to Michigan wasn’t his first time in Ann Arbor. Warren, the No. 157 player in the 2024 class, also visited Michigan in March.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), it’s the Wolverines who currently have a commanding lead in Warren’s recruitment. They sit with an 80.9% chance to land his pledge.

“I would say they are in the lead for me because of my connection with Coach (Sherrone) Moore, really,” Warren told The Wolverine after his official. “I always feel at home around the staff in general. Coach Moore is a really great guy. You see a lot of the players treat him like a dad. It’s not fabricated. They have genuine love and respect for Coach Moore, and he puts the same genuine love and respect back into his players.”
