4-star EDGE Mario Eugenio commits to Cincinnati
Four-star Clearwater (Fla.) Gaither EDGE Mario Eugenio has committed to Cincinnati, he announced Saturday.
Eugenio is the No. 310 prospect in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is ranked as the nation’s No. 24 EDGE and the No. 41 player in the state of Florida.
The 6-foot-3, 240-pounder chose Cincinnati over more than 30 other offers, including Iowa State, Indiana, Boston College, Arkansas, and others. Eugenio committed to Michigan in July after taking his official visits, but he backed off of that pledge in early October.
Cincinnati ramped up its recruitment of him after that, and Eugenio took an official visit to see the Bearcats on Nov. 19.
