Local EDGE Anthony Jones commits to UCLA
Irvine (Calif.) Crean Lutheran four-star EDGE Anthony Jones has committed to UCLA. Washington had some momentum earlier this spring. Tennessee was a strong contender. In the end, Jones decided to stay home.
“It is a great fit for me,” Jones told On3. “I was at UCLA a few weeks ago and I love it up there. Their staff has been hard on me for a while and it is really like home for me there. I have known multiple coaches on that staff for years. They have recruited me for years and they just make it feel natural for me to be there.
“It was a tough decision because I liked the other schools a lot, but how they made me and my parents feel, it made UCLA right for me.”
DeShaun Foster is a coach who played for the school in Westwood. Jones believes in him and what the Bruins can do in Westwood.

“Coach Foster was great at UCLA and he is bringing the program back. He made me feel like I am his guy. He wants to keep the best in southern California home and I believe he is changing the program.
“We have a great future at UCLA. He is a Hall of Famer at UCLA, so he knows what it takes to be a Bruin and how to win there. UCLA is on its way back up.”
