3-star OT Luke Burgess names top 3 schools
New Palestine (Ind.) three-star offensive tackle Luke Burgess has named Florida State, Louisville and North Carolina as his top three schools.
“Most importantly I want to thank God, my family and mentors for supporting me along my journey. Thank you to every coach who has extended a scholarship and made my dream come true. With that said, these are the 3 schools I will be focusing on for the remainder of my recruitment,” Burgess tweeted.
Burgess is the No. 411 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $9.5k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

In April, Burgess told On3’s Jeremy Johnson ahead of some school visits that he really wanted to get to some schools in the south.
“I do have connections down south, and it’s a change of scenery from up here where it’s 30 degrees and going there where it’s summertime all the time,” Burgess said with a laugh. “That’s something I want to see if I like it or not and if I want to be that far away.”
It looks like the area has caught his attention.
