2025 RB John Forster flips commitment from Rutgers to Illinois
Montvale (N.J.) St. Joseph Regional three-star running back John Forster has flipped his commitment from Rutgers to Illinois.
He had been committed to the in-state Scarlet Knights since June 15, but now joins three-star Cedric Wyche as the second tailback pledged to the Fighting Illini.
Forster is the nation’s No. 558 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the No. 47 running back in the class and the No. 17 recruit from the state of New Jersey.
