2025 DL Christian Ingram commits to South Carolina Gamecocks
Covington (Ga.) Newton three-star defensive lineman Christian Ingram has committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks.
“I chose South Carolina Because what coach Beamer is about,” Ingram told On3. “He is a great man with a great spirit and he’s the only head coach I’ve been talking to consistently. He wanted me.”
Ingram took several official visits down the stretch of his recruitment, including November trips to Michigan, Georgia, South Carolina, USC and Vanderbilt.

The 6-foot-5.5, 280-pound Ingram is the nation’s No. 497 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the No. 48 defensive lineman in the class and the No. 65 recruit from the state of Georgia.
“They don’t even compare,” Ingram said of other programs after visiting South Carolina. “I felt most comfortable with them so far. They have did things I haven’t seen other colleges do to insure I know there honest people. They do things the right way.
“With Coach Beamer there, their ceiling is unmatched.”
