Sports Illustrated Swimsuit releases 2026 cover art featuring Haley Cavinder, fiancée of Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson

Former Miami Hurricanes basketball star Haley Cavinder is featured as one of the cover models for this month’s Sports Illustrated digital issue. On Thursday, SI released the cover art for Cavinder, who traveled to Captiva Island in Fort Myers for the photo shoot.

“I’m excited to work along with so many powerful women and successful women,” Cavinder said of posing for the February 2026 digital cover. “I think Sports Illustrated [Swimsuit] is such a great community full of empowering women … and [to] be around such hardworking women is something that’s really inspiring.”

Haley Cavinder is strengthening her brand after a successful college basketball career. She started at Fresno State in 2019 and was there for three seasons before transferring to Miami with her twin sister, Hanna Cavinder, in 2022. After the 2022-23 season, the Cavinder twins announced their retirement from basketball.

One year later, Haley and Hanna came out of retirement and returned to Miami. In her career, Haley was named Mountain West Player of the Year in 2021, selected to the All-Mountain West Team three times (2020-2022), and selected to the All-SEC Second Team twice (2023, 2025).

Haley Cavinder is now focused on being an entrepreneur and supporting her fiancé, Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson. The two have been dating since 2023 and announced their engagement in 2025.

While appearing on SiriusXM in San Francisco for Super Bowl LX Week, Cavinder opened up about their wedding plans. Cavinder said she’s working with a “great wedding planner,” and she’s “not a crazy bridezilla yet,” per PEOPLE.

Freguson talked about the guest list, saying that they have invited “a lot of teammates, a lot of our good friends. He then said,  “We’ve got a couple college friends on there, a couple college coaches. It’ll be a good time.”
