According to Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, both of the NFL Network, Elgton Jenkins is heading to the Cleveland Browns. Jenkins was released by the Green Bay Packers on Monday, meaning he was available in the free agent market. Cleveland was able to lock down the interior offensive lineman for two years in a deal worth up to $24 million.

“Two-time Pro Bowl OL Elgton Jenkins is signing with the Browns on a two-year, $24 million deal with $20M guaranteed, sources tell me and @RapSheet,” Pelissero said via X. “A day his release from Green Bay, Jenkins heads to Cleveland.”

Rapoport later added to the report, saying there is some position versatility there. Jenkins could play center, potentially working with whoever the Browns send out there as the starting quarterback. Guard is certainly still an option too, though. Cleveland will have options once it officially gets Jenkins on the field.

Dependable might be the one word you can use to describe Jenkins, even if some time was missed during the 2025 season. His seven years in the league have produced 96 appearances, 94 of which were starts. As Pelissero mentioned, two Pro Bowls are on the resume. One came in 2020, followed by another in 2022.

Cleveland is hoping the same kind of productivity is heading their way. A big-time signing for an organization looking to figure out the offensive line.

Packers lose wide receiver Romeo Doubs to New England Patriots

The New England Patriots and former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs have agreed to terms on a four-year deal, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. It’s a $68 million deal for Doubs, with $12 million more available in incentives.

Doubs, 25, is joining the reigning AFC champions following a four-year run with the Packers, who selected him in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Doubs served as a reliable target for Green Bay’s passing attack, improving each season in Matt Lafleur‘s offense.

He had a career year in 2025, hauling in 55 passes for 724 yards and six touchdowns. In four seasons, Doubs has 202 receptions for 2,424 yards and 21 scores.

There might be some untapped potential in Doubs, and they hope to unlock it. New England will pay Doubs like the No. 1 wideout in their offense, something they were in search of after releasing Stefon Diggs.
