Rookie Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins suffered a scary lower right leg injury in the final two minutes of their game against the Buffalo Bills. He would be forced to exit on a cart while wearing an air cast.

The Cleveland Browns were looking to spark a two-minute drive. That started with a swing pass out to Judkins. Unfortunately, the Bills were able to blow the play up. Matt Milano got there and made a tackle below his waist. It ended up being a scary injury that the CBS broadcast refused to show again.

CBS sideline reporter Evan Washburn had a quick update, ruling him out. That came from the Browns, confirming it was a leg injury but giving no further details.

“You guys were all over it,” Evan Washburn said. “But just officially from the Browns, being told that it is a leg injury for Quinshon Judkins. He is, as you would imagine, out.”

Quinshon Judkins was a second round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He would go 36th overall, which was just two picks ahead of TreVeyon Henderson. That’s notably because in 2024, the two shared a backfield in college at Ohio State. That two-headed monster ended up being key to the Buckeyes’ national championship season. It was Judkins’ only season at Ohio State, having started his college career at Ole Miss. There, he had been SEC Freshman of the Year in 2022 and was twice a First-Team All-SEC selection.

Judkins has quickly made his presence felt in the NFL. In 13 games going into Sunday, Judkins rushed for 805 yards and seven touchdowns. He also has 21 receptions for 142 yards. He added another 22 rushing yards against the Bills before the injury. He also led Cleveland in receiving yards at the half with 29 receiving yards.

Later, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski spoke to the broadcast. He shared an emotional update on Judkins there.

“Obviously, my heart hurts for him. I just got to spend some time with him in there,” Stefanski said. “But we expect whoever is in there to step up.”

Behind Judkins, Cleveland has Dylan Sampson second on the team in rushing yards. However, his production is a massive step back from Judkins. He has 44 carries for 116 yards on the season. Beyond Sampson, the running back with the third most production is Jerome Ford, who has 73 rushing yards this year.
