Minnesota Timberwolves launch investigation into fan altercation with Draymond Green
The Minnesota Timberwolves have launched an investigation into an incident that occurred between a fan and Warriors forward Draymond Green before Game 2 of an NBA playoffs semifinals series, ABC reported.
The Timberwolves PR account reported on X that a fan had been ejected for violating the NBA’s Fan Code of Conduct during an incident involving Green. A second individual was confirmed by other fans in the area to have made “racially charged comments” toward Green left the arena on his own before security could confirm his identity.
Green received his fifth technical foul of the playoffs during Thursday’s contest against the Timberwolves. He is now just two techincal fouls away from receiving an automatic one-game suspension.
Of course, the Warriors are currently tied 1-1 with the Timberwolves. Game 3 is set for Saturday evening in San Francisco as one team will look to take the advantage over the other.

The incident occured when Green was on a stationary bike, and it’s unclear exactly what the fan said to Green based on the viedo evidence. Green addressed the confrontation after the game, statis his own side to the situation.
“Looked like the angry Black man,” Green said. “I’m not an angry Black man. I am a very successful, educated Black man with a great family, and I am great at basketball and great at what I do. The agenda to try to keep making me look like an angry Black man is crazy. I’m sick of it. It’s ridiculous.”
Green is in his 13th NBA season out of Michigan State, all of which have been played with the Warriors. He is a four-time NBA champion and one-time Defensive Player of the Year in the 2016-17 season.
