Lamar Jackson injury update: Alarming news emerges on Baltimore Ravens QB's status

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson seems to be dealing with an injury heading into the team’s Week 11 game against the Cleveland Browns. Per Jamison Hensley of ESPN, Jackson did not practice on Wednesday, as he “took some hard hits” in the game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

The Ravens will release their first injury report of the week later today, and it should indicate the injury Lamar Jackson is dealing with. The two-time NFL MVP missed three games with the hamstring injury, but returned to the lineup for the team’s Week 9 win over the Miami Dolphins. On Sunday, Jackson threw for 176 yards and one touchdown to help the Ravens beat the Vikings.

Jackson has been strong this season, despite the injuries. In six games, the former Louisville star has completed 70.1 percent of his passes for 1,249 yards, 15 touchdowns, and one interception. Jackson has also rushed for 216 yards and one touchdown on 35 carries.

With Jackson back in the lineup, the Ravens have won their last three games and are in a battle with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the AFC North lead. “Everyone’s happy when they win, but I feel like our mood hasn’t changed,” Jackson said after the win over the Vikings. We’re still locked in. We still feel like we’re 1-5, because we’re still behind in our division. So, we, like I said, we can’t get complacent, and [we need to] stay locked in.”

Jackson has now started 100 games in the NFL, and Ravens head coach John Harbaugh shared his thoughts on his QB reaching the mark. “No, I can’t even believe it. I can’t even believe it. ‘Life is short, run to the ball.’ Lamar [Jackson] does; Lamar epitomizes that. I just couldn’t say enough about Lamar Jackson. If you want to talk about his career and his legacy, I think he’s 15-1 against NFC teams.”

Jackson is putting together a Hall-of-Fame career. The 28-year-old has been named to the Pro Bowl four times, selected to the All-Pro First Team three times, and won the MVP award in 2019 and 2023.
