Grant DuBose injury: Ambulance brought out for Dolphins WR after scary hit vs. Texans

Miami Dolphins (6-7) receiver Grant DuBose was stretchered off the field in the third quarter of the Week 15 road game against the Houston Texans (8-5) after taking a hit to the head from safety Calen Bullock.

DuBose, activated off injured reserve to make his third appearance of the season, stayed on the field for a significant amount of time as medical personnel tended to him. DuBose’s jersey had to be cut off and his facemask unscrewed as both teams huddled and prayed around him. A neck brace was placed around DuBose’s head, and the 23-year-old was taken away in an ambulance.

DuBose has since been transported to the Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston for further evaluation, the team announced.

Grant DuBose in stable condition after scary hit to head

The Dolphins are unfortunately all too aware of the sight given quarterback Tua Tagovailoa‘s concussion issues throughout his career. The scene at NRG Stadium didn’t look good, and there’s clearly a lot of concern for DuBose’s well-being.

Miami claimed DuBose, a 2023 seventh-round selection of the Green Bay Packers (9-4), off waivers on Aug. 28. Before entering the NFL, DuBose was a star at Charlotte. In two seasons with the 49ers, he hauled in 126 receptions for 1,684 yards and 15 touchdowns.
