Eagles WR AJ Brown on donating Raising Cane's bikes to kids: 'It means everything'
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown is looking to help the team win another Super Bowl, but he’s also giving back to the community by donating Raising Cane’s bikes to children for the holidays. On3 spoke to Brown about teaming up with Raising Cane’s to make sure children in the Philadelphia area are happy during the holiday season.
“It means everything. I’m always trying to give back to the next generation, the kids, and that’s what we base my foundation around, giving back to the youth and trying to be impactful in the community with the youth,” AJ Brown told On3 in an interview last week. “And so today it was easy for me. Unfortunately, I couldn’t be there, but just putting smiles on kids’ faces it means everything to me because I remember some impactful gifts that I had when I was a kid, and hopefully I did that to someone today.

Because of a schedule change, Brown couldn’t be at the event, which took place at Raising Cane’s in Philadelphia on Dec. 16. 100 Raising Cane’s bikes were donated through the AJ Brown Foundation.
AJ Brown enjoys being ‘active in the community’
Brown also explained how the Raising Cane’s event motivates him to do more in the community. “To me, this is just something small, but just really just trying to put smiles on kids’ faces,” he said. “Honestly, really just hoping kids to be kids again, because get kids off the iPads and get them back outside, riding bikes and doing those things and being active in the community as well.”

As Brown does good work off the field, he looks to finish the regular season strong before the Eagles get ready for the playoffs. Through 14 games, the former Ole Miss star has caught 73 passes for 935 yards and seven touchdowns. Brown is on track to record his fourth consecutive 1,000-yard season.
Brown’s production has been a key to the Eagles’ success this year. The team currently has an 11-4 record and has clinched the NFC East. The Eagles are the defending Super Bowl champions and are looking to win their sixth overall championship in franchise history.
