New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel practically avoided any specific injury questions regarding Drake Maye. The second-year QB was the subject of injury speculation, regarding his throwing shoulder during the AFC Championship Game.

For now, everything is under wraps for the Patriots. Vrabel channeled his former coach Bill Belichick when it came to revealing anything about player health.

So Tuesday came around and Vrabel noted that no one is healthy, or something like that. A standard answer for the program!

“There’s not a player on our team that’s 100% healthy,” Vrabel said on The Greg Hill Show. “I would imagine we will go through the injury report, and whenever we have to turn that in, we’ll turn it in. But nobody is 100%. This will be our 21st game.”

In a weather-affected game, Maye was just 10-of-21 passing for 86 yards. However, he ran 10 times for 65 yards and a touchdown. Not only that, Maye ran for the clinching first down in the fourth quarter to send the Patriots back to the Super Bowl.

“It’s a new team, it’s a new era,” Maye said, via Boston.com. “I respect and appreciate what the Patriots dynasty did, and unfortunately they didn’t come out with some wins here, but we changed that narrative and look forward to bringing our best football for [the Super Bowl].”

Maye, fully healthy or not, knows the offense has to be better. Based on his entire season, the former UNC star could be in the MVP conversation.

Awards aside, 10 points is probably not going to get it done against the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX. They’ll have a little under two weeks to figure it out.

“We had some time and we had our chances to score,” Maye said. “I think we’ve got to help our defense out more, but hey, it is what it is and man, it’s awesome going to the Super Bowl, so I can’t complain.”

Maye and the New England Patriots take on the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara (Cal.) on February 8th. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
