DeMarvion Overshown injury update: Cowboys share LB's status in Monday practice report
The Dallas Cowboys gave an update on linebacker DeMarvion Overshown after suffering a concussion in Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers. In the team’s Monday practice report, it was revealed that Overshown did not practice because of the injury. With the Cowboys playing on Thursday, it’s likely he will miss the Christmas Day contest against the Washington Commanders.
DeMarvion Overshown was injured on the Chargers’ first offensive series and was ruled out of the game in the second half. He finished with two tackles, and it was the sixth game he played in this season as he returned to the lineup in mid-November. Overshown was recovering from a torn ACL, MCL, and PCL, which he suffered in the game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Dec. 9, 2024.
After Overshown made his 2025 debut, he talked about how he should have played better. “I didn’t want to look at it,” Overshown said, per Tommy Yarrish of the Cowboys’ official website. “So that says a lot, but it’s simple stuff, it isn’t anything that can’t be fixed. It’s just being antsy, ready to play football. I think I was more so worried on showing my physical abilities than my critical thinking abilities and my processing of the game.”

Overshown added, “It’s easy, fixable stuff, so I’m excited for this next game because I know that is, I won’t say it’s the worst I will ever play, but coming off 343 days, I can be way better than that.”
