UFC newcomer Josh Hokit had an interesting post-fight interview in the UFC octagon, not really loved by Dana White. The company president only heard about Hokit putting on a WWE-esque speech following his TKO win over Denzel Freeman at UFC 324.

Hokit, a former All-American wrestler and football player at Fresno State, is now 8-0 in his MMA career and 2-0 in the UFC. While he has two finishes, he probably didn’t do himself any favors with the boss.

“I didn’t,” White said when asked if he heard Hokit’s post-fight interview in the cage. “I heard about it. I didn’t see it. I don’t love it.”

You can see Hokit’s post-fight speech below. You can judge for yourself as he dropped the mic.

Hokit fought his fight on October 7, 2023 at Bellator 300, winning by submission via arm triangle. Every single one of his fights has ended with a finish as he’s fought through Bellator, LFA and Dana White’s Contender Series prior to his UFC debut on November 8, 2025.

Prior to his MMA career, Hokit excelled at football and wrestling at Fresno State. He played tight end and fullback.

While with the Bulldogs, Hokit had 303 career carries for 1,260 yards, 17 touchdowns, 4.2 yards per carry, 38 catches, 260 receiving yards and one touchdown reception. But, he was a menace on the mat too.

In four total years, Hokit went 63-20 at Fresno State. After a 9-8 redshirt sophomore campaign in 2018n, Hokit went 26-8 at 197 pounds in 2019 and finished 5th at the NCAA Wrestling Championships, becoming an All-American.

The following year, Hokit went 24-4, moving up to heavyweight and was a 2020 NCAA qualifier. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic canceled all sporting events and he could not wrestle in Minnesota.

UFC 324 was highlighted by Justin Gaethje beating Paddy Pimblett by unanimous decision in an absolute brawl in the main event. Gaethje won the interim lightweight title.

The fight went the distance, with both fighters bloodying and bruising the other. Pimblett looked on the verge of collapse several times but stayed up and made it a thrilling contest.

“That f*****’s right. Scousers do not get knocked out,” Gaethje said after his title win. “That scouser does not get knocked out. What a f***** gangster. I told him right now, I said, ‘I was just where you were at not too long ago.’ It’s a crazy sport and a f***** amazing life and I’m so thankful to share it with you guys.”
