Cris Collinsworth, Terry McAulay hammer officials for missed PI against Marlon Humphrey
Cris Collinsworth and Terry McAulay went after the officials for not calling pass interference on Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey on Sunday night. Late in the fourth quarter, Humphrey was covering New England Patriots WR Kayson Boutte. As Boutte was attempting to catch a deep pass, Humphrey tackled him, and that led to Collinsworth sounding off.
“Under any circumstance, getting tackled counts as pass interference,” Cris Collinsworth said on the NBC broadcast.” Collinsworth then asked McAulay if the officials should have called pass interference on McAulay.
“It’s not really hard. That’s pass interference,” Terry McAulay said while laughing. “That’s obvious pass interference. Not a hard question at all.”
The Patriots got the last laugh, as they scored a couple of plays later to defeat the Ravens 28-24. The victory was big for New England as the team clinched a spot in the playoffs. The Patriots are now 12-3 on the year and have a chance to clinch to top seed in the AFC.
Can Marlon Humphrey and the Ravens bounce back after loss to Patriots?
While the Patriots celebrated the victory, Marlon Humphrey and the Ravens are in trouble as they are now 7-8 on the season. Even if they win the next two games, clinching a spot in the playoffs is not a guarantee.

For the Ravens to finish strong, getting strong production from the leaders will be key. Humphrey is one of the team leaders, as he has been with the Ravens since 2017 and is a four-time Pro Bowler. Entering Sunday’s game, the former Alabama star has recorded 52 tackles, one sack, two interceptions, and nine passes defended this season.
Humphrey understood the Ravens had a lot of work to do as the season began. After falling to the Buffalo Bills in the season opener, Humphrey spoke to reporters about what head coach John Harbaugh said to the team during a meeting.
“He said we’re just not mature enough as a team yet,” Humphrey said, per Clifton Brown of the Ravens’ official website. “It’s very clear we’ve got great players on both sides of the ball, but defensively, we have to work on our maturity, too. It doesn’t matter what our offense is doing. We have to go up there and win the game, and, right now, our maturity level, sadly, when we get in those situations, it’s just not enough.”
