Caitlin Clark is finally taking on the NBA. Even if it’s only as an analyst.

The 24-year-old WNBA superstar is set to join NBC Sports as an in-studio special contributor for its Basketball Night in America pregame show ahead of the network’s Feb. 1 debut of Sunday Night Basketball, the network announced Tuesday. Clark, the all-time leading scorer in NCAA history, will provide pregame commentary during NBC Sports‘ Feb. 1 NBA doubleheader featuring the Los Angeles Lakers at the New York Knicks (7 pm ET) and Oklahoma City Thunder at the Denver Nuggets (9:30 pm ET).

“Caitlin is one of the most captivating players and dynamic scorers in basketball,” NBC Sports executive producer Sam Flood said in a statement. “We’re excited to have Caitlin join Hall of Famers Melo, Vince, Tracy and Reggie in New York for the launch of Sunday Night Basketball.”

The Indiana Fever star will join the Basketball Night in America studio team of host Maria Taylor and fellow analysts and NBA legends Carmelo Anthony, Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady. It won’t be a one-off either, with Clark scheduled to join the crew again ahead of the March 29 game between the Knicks and Thunder.

“I’m really excited to be part of the Basketball Night in America crew this season,” Clark said in a statement released by NBC Sports. “Carmelo, Vince, and Tracy are legends of the game and Maria is a true professional. It will be really fun to join them a few times this season.”

NBC Sports launches its Sunday Night Basketball presentation of NBA games beginning next Sunday and will be televised across its family of networks (NBC, Peacock and Telemundo). The presentation will then take a two-week break between Feb. 8-15 due to NBC’s coverage of Super Bowl LX, the NBA All-Star Game and the 2026 Winter Olympics before resuming Feb. 22 through April 5. NBC Sports will televise 11 NBA games this season, including three doubleheaders, with its one-hour studio program, Basketball Night in America, preceeding the presentation each week on NBC and Peacock.
