Baltimore Ravens select LaJohntay Wester in 6th round of 2025 NFL Draft
The Baltimore Ravens have selected Colorado receiver LaJohntay Wester in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. They took him with the No. 203 overall selection.
Wester spent the final season of his career at Colorado after becoming a breakout star at Florida Atlantic. He posted a 1,000-yard season with the Owls before departing for the transfer portal.
In his final year in college, LaJohntay Wester logged 74 catches for 931 yards and a career-high 10 touchdowns. He also scored once on a punt return, flashing the kind of special teams ability the NFL craves.
In total in his career, Wester recorded 326 catches for 3,634 yards and 31 touchdowns. He also ran 37 times for 213 yards and two scores.
Wester’s all-around ability will likely draw him some looks from the NFL, even if his size is a little lacking. Wester checks in at 5 foot 11, 167 pounds.
Prior to enrolling at Florida Atlantic, LaJohntay Wester was a three-star prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings. He checked in as the No. 35 receiver in his class.

What NFL Draft analysts are saying about LaJohntay Wester
There’s a good deal of tape on Wester and he’s been highly productive for four seasons now, so scouts know what they’re getting. Unfortunately for Wester it wasn’t possible for him to suddenly hit a growth spurt.
That’s probably the biggest drawback he faced in the lead in to the draft. Still, the NFL Network’s Lance Zierlein had the following to say in evaluating LaJohntay Wester as a prospect:
“Undersized slot target with good speed and above-average production. Wester is built for longer routes with softer angles, allowing him to build separation. He’s less effective with wiggle routes underneath.
“There are times his catch focus stands out but he has a very limited catch radius and drops were a major concern in 2023. Colorado’s scheme and surrounding talent created some easier looks for Wester, but his big-play potential from the slot and as a punt returner should give him a chance to make a roster.”
