The 2026 NBA Draft Combine is well underway. Players have already had their official measurements taken and some athletic testing has been done. Now it’s on to the 5-on-5 portion of the event.

Two scrimmages took place on Wednesday afternoon, with 10 players on each squad in the first scrimmage and nine on each squad in the second. Players saw roughly 20 minutes on average in the first scrimmage, getting a chance to showcase their skills. Because of the numbers in the second scrimmage, minutes weren’t quite as evenly dispersed.

So who were the top three scorers on each team from each scrimmage at the 2026 NBA Draft Combine on Wednesday? Let’s lay them out below.

In his third year at Wisconsin, Blackwell posted an excellent junior campaign. He finished the year averaging 19.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals.

Tarris Reed Jr.UConn

Team Adams
Stat Line: 9 points (3-7 FG), 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 block
The UConn star showed what he could do in a strong run through the NCAA Tournament. And he picked up where he left off at the 2026 NBA Draft Combine. Reed stuffed the stat sheet. He did, however, have five fouls… something he may have to work on at the next level.

Reed spent the first two years of his career at Michigan, where he had a varying impact. Then he transferred to UConn. He became a full-time starter in his second season with both programs, and in 2025-26 he averaged 14.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.0 blocks per game.

Nick BoydWisconsin

Team Weems
Stat Line: 23 points (9-20 FG, 3-9 3PT), 5 rebounds, 8 assists
Boyd had a big game, seeing the most minutes of any player in the second scrimmage at 29+. While he scored a bunch, it wasn’t necessarily the most efficient outing. He turned it over five times and had four fouls.

A former Florida Atlantic standout, Boyd transferred to San Diego State for his fourth season and then to Wisconsin for his fifth year. He averaged 20.7 points, 4.3 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game in 2025-26.

Otega OwehKentucky

Team Weems

Oweh saw fewer than 19 minutes in the contest, as the second scrimmage didn’t feature quite as even minute splits as the first. Still, Oweh was good. He got to the free-throw line five times in the contest and dropped 20 points.

A former Oklahoma player, Oweh has spent the last two years at Kentucky and has been quite productive. He averaged 18.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.8 steals per game in 2025-26. He has started 72 straight games for the Wildcats over the last two seasons.

Nick MartinelliNorthwestern

The Baylor product put on a show, scoring a game-high 30 points, the highest-scoring output of the opening round of scrimmages. He connected on six 3-pointers, lighting it up from outside. He also blocked a pair of shots and snagged seven boards. Productive.

Ja’Kobi GillespieTennessee

Team Rivers

The Tennessee star was neck-and-neck with Carr in scoring for Team Rivers in the second scrimmage of the day at the 2026 NBA Draft Combine. He connected on five 3-pointers and also chipped in a handful of other stats to help round out a very solid winning effort for Team Rivers.

Gillespie was the leading scorer for the Volunteers this season, and Tennessee continues to produce at a high level. Gillespie averaged 18.4 points, 5.4 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game. Size could be a concern at the NBA level, but his scoring ability is top-notch.

Jeremy Fears Jr.Michigan State

Team Rivers
Stat Line: 17 points (5-7 FG, 1-2 3PT), 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals
Fears had an efficient afternoon offensively. He scored 17 points on just seven shots, getting to the free-throw line eight times. That’s something we got used to seeing him do at Michigan State. He also dished out five assists, showing some nice court vision early on in the 2026 NBA Draft Combine.

The Spartans pretty much went as Fears went during the 2025-26 season, and for good reason. Fears was exceptional, averaging 15.2 points, 9.4 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game. His passing ability was as good as anyone’s in the country.
