Stanford is expected to hire Alabama assistant defensive line coach Jamey Mosley as its next defensive line coach, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel. A former Crimson Tide linebacker, Mosley will get his first opportunity as a lead position coach on the Power 4 level.

Mosley played at Alabama from 2015-18 and was part of two national championship teams during his time in Tuscaloosa. He ended his career with totals of 21 tackles (4.5 for loss), two sacks and two passes defended across 31 games played. His brother, C.J. Mosley, also played for Alabama.

Jamey Mosley later would go undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft before later spending time in the practice squads for the New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals. After that, he returned to Alabama to help out as an analyst. He worked closely with defensive line coach Freddie Roach over the past few seasons.

Now he’ll get the opportunity to show what he can do with Stanford, which is coming off of a 4-8 finish this past season. He’ll hope to be part of a turnaround for the Cardinal, who are entering a new era after hiring Tavita Pritchard to be their head coach this offseason.

Mosley is the third Alabama coach to take another job this offseason, joining the likes of receiver coach JaMarcus Shephard, who took over as head coach at Oregon State, and quarterback coach Nick Sheridan, who is now the offensive coordinator for Michigan State. We’ll see whether the Crimston Tide can make up for those losses next season as they aim to get back to the College Football Playoff.

Report: Alabama expected to hire USC’s Adrian Klemm as offensive line coach

According to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports, Alabama is hiring Adrian Klemm to be the program’s next offensive line coach. Klemm spent the 2025 season in Los Angeles working under Lincoln Riley as an offensive analyst for USC.

He now gets an on-field coaching position once again after experience at the college and NFL levels. On3 | Rivals’ BOL reported on Sunday regarding the possibility of Klemm coming to Alabama.

Klemm got his coaching career at SMU in 2008 as a graduate assistant. One year later saw him promoted to offensive line coach, spending four total seasons on the Hilltop before moving to UCLA (2012-2016). Eventually, the NFL came calling in the form of Pittsburgh to be the franchise’s assistant offensive line coach ahead of the 2019 season. A promotion to the actual OL coach came in 2021.

On3’s Griffin McVeigh contributed to this report.
