The 6-foot-6 freshman averaged 11.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game this season while shooting 57% from the field. He was also named to the Big East All-Freshman Team. His season-high came against Villanova, where he scored 23 points. He also added 20 points against UConn.

Jones, a native of Sarasota, Florida, was a consensus four-star recruit and a top-40 overall prospect in the 2025 class. During his senior year at Oak Ridge (FL), he averaged 20.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game.

Out of high school, he chose Providence over Ohio State, Houston, South Carolina, LSU, and Kansas.
