Following the first hour of the Christmas Eve edition of The Pat McAfee Show, a clip was shown from the self-filmed documentary titled “It’s More Than An Anti-Virus,” set to release on New Year’s Day. The documentary will seemingly follow Pat McAfee, who is one of the busiest media personalities in the country.

McAfee, who was an All-Pro punter for the Indianapolis Colts from 2009-2016, has blossomed into a juggernaut across sports programming. Along with hosting his show on ESPN and YouTube, McAfee is a member of the College GameDay panel and occasionally makes appearances across WWE programming.

Along with filming the documentary, McAfee released his first-ever single titled “Dookie” on Dec. 5. Per Front Office Sports, the song had 153,000 streams on Spotify and 84,000 views on YouTube in its first week. Once again, The Pat McAfee Show delivered an alternate broadcast of a College Football Playoff Game and McAfee was inducted into the 2025 West Virginia Sports Hall of Fame Class.

To say the Pittsburgh native has been busy would be an understatement. And those who know him well have seen it in action.

“He was talented, obviously as a punter as a kicker — the best that’s ever played here. Had a great personality,” West Virginia head coach Rich Rodriguez said of McAfee earlier this year. “But I do remember, I think I quit checking his curfew because I was afraid of what I’d find out. As long as you keep making kicks and punt the ball great, I won’t check your curfew, but we can’t have anybody getting arrested or anything like that. That would be a tough time.”

Documentary will air during Jan. 1 edition of ‘The Pat McAfee Show’

McAfee has taken the ‘wild child’ personality and run with it, and it has certainly paid off in a booming career. It appears as if the documentary will actually be sponsored by McAfee, a global leader in online protection. In the clip that was shown on Wednesday’s edition of The Pat McAfee Show, a “fan” (in a skit) approached McAfee’s car and asked for an autograph. There, he likened Pat’s last name to the McAfee brand, leaving Pat to respond that he is “more than just an anti-virus”

It is currently unclear what time the documentary will premiere on the PMS YouTube channel, but the date is Jan. 1, which is a Thursday. The show usually runs from 12:00 p.m. ET to 3:00 p.m. ET throughout the week, with the final hour being exclusively available on YouTube.
