Missouri guard TO Barrett plans to enter NCAA transfer portal
Missouri guard TO Barrett plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, per On3’s Joe Tipton. Barrett spent two seasons with the Tigers.
Barrett averaged 8.6 points, 3.0 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals per per game for Missouri this past season. He appeared in 33 games for Dennis Gates’ squad, including 14 starts in 22.8 minutes per game on average.
As a freshman, Barrett played in 19 games and only averaged 5.4 minutes per game. He averaged 1.9 points per game in his limited time on the court.
Before college, Barrett was a three-star recruit according to the Rivals Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was the No. 142 player in the 2024 class, and the No. 5 combo guard overall.

Barrett played his high school hoops for Link Academy (MO) during the 2023-24 season. He helped his team advance to the semifinals of the Chipotle National Championship. Prior to that, he led his original high school, Edmond North High School, to back-to-back state titles in 2022 and 2023. He was the MVP of the 2023 state title game as well.
For Missouri, the Tigers are coming off a 20-13 season that finished with back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances since 2011-2012. They earned a No. 10 seed, but were eliminated by No. 7 seed Miami in the first round.
Still, there are high hopes for Missouri basketball moving forward. Only, Barrett won’t be a part of it moving forward. He’ll enter the NCAA transfer portal and search for a fresh start in college basketball.
