Former Auburn, Baylor QB Walker White signs with Central Arkansas out of NCAA Transfer Portal
Former Auburn and Baylor transfer quarterback Walker White has signed to transfer to Central Arkansas out of the NCAA Transfer Portal, per On3’s Pete Nakos. It’s a bit of a homecoming for the Little Rock, Ark. native.
White, a former four-star recruit, will have three years of collegiate eligibility remaining after redshirting while appearing in just one game in 2024 as a true freshman at Auburn and not seeing the field at all in 2025 as a redshirt freshman at Baylor. White completed just 2-of-5 passes for 18 yards while adding 18 rushing yards in a win over Louisiana-Monroe in 2024.
The 6-foot-4 and 230-pound White signed with the Tigers as a four-star prospect in the 2024 recruiting cycle out of Little Rock Christian Academy (Little Rock, Ark.), where he was ranked as the No. 3 player in the state, the No. 7 quarterback in the class and the No. 86 player overall, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting media companies. White capped his prep career in the All-American Bowl after throwing for 6,837 yards in his prep career and 80 touchdowns with another 30 rushing scores.
After transferring to Baylor in late December 2024, White explained the decision to On3’s Steve Wilfong.
“I’m pumped,” White told Wiltfong. “I’m really excited. … Truthfully Baylor is a place where the quarterback development is the biggest aspect for them. I want to go in learn, develop, spend time with my coaches talking ball and I know I’m going to get that at Baylor.”

Despite not appearing in a game last season, White learned behind a solid 2025 campaign from senior Baylor starter Sawyer Robertson, who threw for 36,81 yards and 31 touchdowns to 12 interceptions. It was an experience White embraced after committing to the Bears.
“He’s a great quarterback,” White said of Robertson. “He’s put up great numbers for them. I’m excited to go in there and compete and see where everything falls.”
Despite Robertson’s success on the stat sheet, Baylor struggled through a 5-7 season this past year and White opted to move closer to home after the experience.
