The USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll Top 25 has been refreshed following the seventeenth week of the season. This week’s update offers another look at where teams stand as the college basketball calendar pushes firmly toward March Madness.

With conference races heating up and tournament résumés coming into sharper focus, Week 17 brought no shortage of impactful results across the country. Statement wins, tough road losses and late-season surges once again led to movement throughout the Coaches Poll.

As the regular season enters the final stretch, the Top 25 is expected to remain fluid, with every game carrying major implications for conference seeding and national perception. For now, here’s how the rankings look after Week 17. The updated Coaches Poll is listed below.

1. Duke

Duke handled business again last week with wins over Notre Dame and Virginia, moving to 27-2 behind another dominant stretch from freshman star Cameron Boozer. Boozer is averaging 22.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game, continuing to look like one of the best players in the nation regardless of class.

The Blue Devils face NC State before a massive showdown with North Carolina on Saturday. With rivalry games and tournament seeding on the line, Duke is peaking at the right time.

2. Arizona

Arizona continued its dominant run with wins over Baylor and Kansas, pushing its record to 27-2 as the Wildcats hold firm near the top of the Coaches Poll. Freshman guard Brayden Burries led the charge again, averaging 15.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game while providing steady scoring in both victories.

The Wildcats now face a massive week with Iowa State on Monday before closing the regular season against Colorado. With momentum building and résumé wins stacking up, Arizona looks every bit like a No. 1 seed contender.

3. Michigan

Michigan stayed red-hot with wins over Minnesota and Illinois, improving to 27-2 and strengthening its case as one of the nation’s most complete teams. Senior forward Yaxel Lendeborg continues to do everything for the Wolverines, averaging 14.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.

Michigan now turns its attention to rivalry week with Iowa on Thursday and Michigan State on Sunday. If the Wolverines keep rolling, they could enter the postseason with as much momentum as anyone in the country.

4. UConn (+2)

UConn picked up two solid wins over St. John’s and Seton Hall to improve to 27-3 as the Huskies continue to climb toward the postseason. Junior guard Solo Ball has provided steady production all season, averaging 14.1 points and helping anchor a balanced lineup.

The Huskies have just one game this week against Marquette, but it could carry major seeding implications. With March approaching, UConn looks like a team nobody wants to face.

5. Florida (+2)

Florida kept rolling with wins over Texas and Arkansas, moving to 23-6 as the Gators continue to build a strong tournament case. Junior forward Thomas Haugh leads the team at 17.1 points and 6.0 rebounds per game, providing consistency on both ends.

Florida now faces Mississippi State before a huge matchup with Kentucky on Saturday. With the SEC race tightening, the Gators know every game matters.

6. Houston (-2)

Houston went 1-1 last week with a loss to Kansas before bouncing back with a win over Colorado, moving to 24-5 overall. Freshman guard Kingston Flemings continues to shine, averaging 16.4 points and 5.2 assists while running the Cougars’ offense.

Houston now faces Baylor and Oklahoma State as it looks to regain consistency heading into tournament play. When the Cougars are locked in defensively, they remain one of the toughest teams in the country.

7. Iowa State (-2)

Iowa State split last week, beating Utah before falling to Texas Tech, moving the Cyclones to 24-5 on the season. Junior forward Milan Momcilovic continues to pace the offense at 17.4 points per game, giving Iowa State a reliable scoring option in tight games.

The Cyclones face one of the biggest tests of the week Monday against Arizona before wrapping up with Arizona State. With conference positioning still in play, every possession carries weight for Iowa State heading into postseason play.

8. Michigan State (+5)

Michigan State picked up big wins over Purdue and Indiana, moving to 24-5 behind another strong week from Jeremy Fears Jr. The sophomore guard is averaging 15.1 points and 9.1 assists, controlling the pace and making the Spartans difficult to defend.

Michigan State now faces Rutgers before a huge rivalry game with Michigan on Sunday. With the postseason approaching, the Spartans are trending in the right direction.

9. Nebraska (+1)

Nebraska stayed hot with wins over Maryland and USC, improving to 25-4 and continuing one of the best seasons in program history. Junior forward Pryce Sandfort leads the way at 18.3 points per game while giving the Cornhuskers consistent offensive production.

Nebraska faces UCLA and Iowa this week as it looks to lock up strong conference positioning. If the current form holds, Nebraska could be a real problem in March.

10. Texas Tech (+6)

Texas Tech put together one of its best weeks of the season with wins over Cincinnati and Iowa State, improving to 22-7 and strengthening its position in the Big 12 race. Sophomore guard Christian Anderson continues to carry the offense, averaging 19.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game while controlling the tempo.

The Red Raiders look to keep the momentum going this week against TCU on Tuesday before closing the regular season against BYU on Saturday. If Anderson stays hot, Texas Tech has the firepower to make noise both in the conference tournament and in March.
