Big 12 teams will combine to play 13 non-conference games against Power Four opponents, with Notre Dame in the mix, as well. It’ll continue the league’s emphasis on national relevance and high-profile scheduling. Meanwhile, conference play will again feature a nine-game format across all member schools.
The 2026 schedule is highlighted by the Big 12’s global expansion, beginning with the Aer Lingus College Football Classic on Saturday, Aug. 29, when TCU faces North Carolina in Dublin, Ireland.
Later in the season, the Big 12 heads overseas as Week 3 features the Union Jack Classic, a conference matchup between Arizona State and Kansas at Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday, Sept. 19.
Moreover, marquee non-conference games begin immediately in Week 1, highlighted by Cincinnati hosting Boston College. Week 2 features several high-profile matchups on Big 12 campuses, including Kansas hosting Missouri, Oklahoma State welcoming Oregon, and Utah facing Arkansas at home. Another marquee game arrives in Week 7, when BYU hosts Notre Dame.
