Auburn adding Arkansas staffer to front office
Auburn is hiring an SEC staffer to its front office, a source told On3 on Tuesday morning. The Tigers are set to hire Arkansas director of player personnel Jovon Hubbard as their next assistant general manager.
Hubbard has experience working with Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze, working on Freeze’s Liberty staff for three seasons. He leaves Arkansas after joining Sam Pittman’s staff in 2023. He’s expected to play a key role in general manager Will Redmond’s front office. FootballScoop first reported the move.

A former NFL intern with the Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons, he’s played a role in Arkansas’s last two transfer portal classes. The Razorbacks currently have the No. 11 class in the SEC in the 2026 Rivals Industry Recruiting Rankings.
Hubbard will be tasked with helping Auburn improve its 2026 class. The Tigers currently rank second-to-last in the SEC, but picked up a commitment on Monday from top-100 EDGE Jaquez Wilkes. The four-star recruit picked the Tigers over Texas A&M. Four-star quarterback Peyton Falzone flipped from Penn State to Auburn in June.
