4-star WR Mason James commits to Washington: 'Every time I was there, it was amazing'
Norman (Okla.) Norman North wide receiver Mason James is leaving his hometown. The four-star has committed to Jedd Fisch and Washington over Oklahoma, Missouri, Notre Dame and Texas.
“Washington has been showing me love for over a year,” James told On3. “The connection there is strong and that was a big thing for me. I love the fit there too. Washington is a great school, it has a great football program and I see a great opportunity for me.”
James has visited Seattle three times. He stepped on campus the first time in March. He was back in April, then he took the official visit in June. The relationships kept growing.
“The whole staff recruited me. They stayed in heavy contact and I had a connection with all of the coaches there. The first visit set the bar high and then it just kept getting better.”

“They didn’t push me, but they let me know they wanted me and it just secured what I was thinking,” James said. “Every time I was there, it was amazing. I was treated great and I know the coaches want me there.
“Washington has an offense I can thrive in, the program will develop me and my gut was telling me it was the right school. I know I am loved by everyone there.”
