his reasoning is justifiable but going from Oxford to Baton Rouge doesn’t seem like the most radical of moves when it comes to distancing oneself from racism lol

IndyWolverine23 said:Obviously doubt this was actually a contributing factor for Lane and is weird to bring this up. With that said having been to games and been on campus there at Ole Miss it is one of the only campuses where I have heard racist comments just thrown out like its normal. Very strange and does seem like part of the culture, always wondered how it didn't prevent more players from going there.Such a little weasel.

As if this being written by Vanity Fair didn’t already undercut almost all credibility… you left Mississippi for Louisiana… who along with Alabama create what is essentially the Holy Trinity of the most racist places in US History… Lane Kiffin is the embodiment of “grifter.”

It's one of those things where his message is probably right, but it's the messenger who is wrong and causes too much interference.

IndyWolverine23 said:Hate to say it, but it's legit. My sister lives in Mississippi - was an Ole Miss season ticket holder for many years. She would tell me that the N word flies around the stadium during a game like it's nothing, second nature and not a thought about it. She has lived all over the country -- says it is by far the most racist place she's ever lived. Not close. Now, that said, is Louisiana better? Based on my experience with some people I know in Louisiana? No.Such a little weasel.

Lane could start his journey to a more evolved state by Googling "Louisiana Tigers" ...

I don't know much about Baton Rouge, but I've spent a lot of time in MS the last few years as I have clinics there, and I will say there is still a lot of racism there, much different than I have seen in other states. I even went to Graduate school in SC 1997-2001 and MS 2023-current is significantly worse. The things I have even experience professionally in MS has been unreal honestly.
