When the Sorsby news broke my initial reaction when thinking about how the season would go was that “we’ll be fine and probably still win the league” I thought maybe that was somewhat bold, but seems like that’s just the consensus take at this point. What a world we’re living in.

I think most agree on Fritz. For him the question will be long term resources. Still not sure on Rich Rod. He was really good there the first time but seems like that would be a hard thing to recapture.

Fritz is awesome but I don’t think Houston will be as good as people think. Their schedule last year was one of the easiest. Losing to West Virginia at home was maybe the worst loss in conference last year. We’ll see.

Well if last year was just schedule related for them the good news for them is based on preseason projections they have the easiest P4 schedule in the country (ours is the second easiest) behind several G5 teams and they avoid both Arizona's, BYU, TCU, and have zero P4 out of conference game.

Idk man... They don't have much of an excuse to be worse than solid. 8 of 11 starters are seniors on both offense and defense. An old offensive and defensive line. And they have their QB, highly rated guy that finally started realizing his potential last year, now a JR and should take another step. And a great coach in year three of his system. If you can't win in this league under those circumstances, you may want to head to the MAC.

Maybe I was high on them last year, think they’re getting too much credit this year. Weigman is just not impressive.

I don’t think Weigman was seriously hurt against us, but I think at halftime he was just tired of getting the hell beat out of him. Seemed like he was just done with it at that point.

Totally agree. They outkicked their coverage last year in the Big 12. 7ish win team that somehow overperformed by about 2 games. They'll be better this year, but might win less games if that makes sense.
