That means either of 2 things most likely: 1) he is considering pulling out and returning based on team feedback or 2) he has the first round guarantee and he doesn't want to risk that. It's either great news or very, very bad news for UK.

Smart move, not sure he do well in this type of set up probably get exposed more for not having the skill set yet and the guards aint passing the ball to a big in this they take all the shots.

Those scrimmages do nothing for bigs in general. The guards are just trying to show what they can do with the ball in their hands.

This most likely means he doesn’t need to show anything else and already has a guarantee (would not shock me if the Knicks are interested in him at 24 or 31 as he fits what they like to do).
If he was leaning towards coming back to school, it would probably make more sense for him to compete in the scrimmages to get more feedback that he can take with him into next year at UK. But I also know nothing

A couple big swing moments coming here for the basketball program. Retain Malachi + land Momcilovic and you are looking at what I think is a top-15 team. They are not good enough to win the title but it's a team you could see winning 25 games and getting a No. 2 seed.
Land just one and it feels like a No. 6-7 seed that will lose 11-12 games.
Miss on both and you're probably looking at a team that will be outside the top 25 all year and will realistically be on the bubble in February.
