Seems like a fireable for cause offense to me. In all seriousness though, those IP rights are worthless to us. Or will be once he's gone.

Not to mention the conflict of interest. As I understand this (article was behind a pay wall so I'm just going by the posted excerpt), in order for NU to make any money from this, we need things like Rhule's podcast, speaking engagements, appearances, etc to kill it. However, that's objectively in direct conflict with needing him allocating his time toward coaching football.

All coaches have that kind of stuff in their contract...media obligations, time off for appearances, etc. I've just never heard of it actually benefitting the University the more he does it. In fact, most real coaches HATE that kind of stuff. Rhule not only apparently likes it, he has it in his contract to benefit the school the more he does it? There just seems to be, yet again, so much wrong with this whole thing. Did we make money from Rhule going to Vegas for the fight the week of the Michigan game? Did we get paid for him ziplining through downtown the night before our bowl game? Did we get a cut of some kind of appearance fee at the Kentucky Derby? And I'm not joking.
