Pittsburgh Central Catholic football to host Bergen Catholic in 2026
When the 2026 high school football season rolls around, it will kick off with a massive matchup over in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
According to a report by the WPIAL Insider, Pittsburgh Central Catholic (Pa.) will host Bergen Catholic (N.J.) in Week 0 of the 2026 high school football season. The Vikings and Crusaders were among the top teams in their respective states this past 2025 campaign.
Per the WPIAL Insider post, the game will be played at the Wolvarena in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania this upcoming August.
Bergen Catholic is slated to return multiple key pieces to the roster, including Class of 2028 four-star EDGE Jackson Vaughn, sophomore four-star Amiir Woodward, three-star defensive lineman Jayden Beckley and Class of 2027 wide receiver Bryan Porter.
