Mississippi High School Football Top 25 Rankings - Nov. 24
The postseason continued in the Magnolia State last week, and another jam-packed slate is on deck as teams continue their quests for a state title. Below are the top 25 Mississippi high school football teams, according to the Massey Ratings, as of Nov. 24.
1. Tupelo Golden Wave
The Golden Wave extended their winning streak to eight games after defeating Germantown in Round 2 of the Mississippi high school football Class 7A playoffs. Tupelo’s ground game dominated the Mavericks defense, thanks to Jaeden Hill (158 yards, two touchdowns), Kylan Bobo (119 yards, one TD), and Braylen Williams (106 rushing yards). Williams also threw a touchdown pass, while Kaiden Buchanan had three defensive sacks. The Golden Wave will face Oxford in the state semifinals on November 28.
2. West Point Green Wave
The Green Wave kept their perfect record after earning a 37-0 shutout victory over Pontotoc in the Class 5A quarterfinals. Quentin Thompson led the way with 166 rushing yards and a touchdown, while Colt Whitacre threw a TD pass. West Point will play against Holmes County Central in the state semifinals on the 28th.
3. Oxford Chargers
The Chargers defeated Horn Lake in the Mississippi high school football Class 7A quarterfinals. Knox Kiffin finished with 202 passing yards, 76 rushing yards, a passing TD, and a rushing score in the 37-27 victory. Demar Jamerson and Drew Dean each had a rushing TD. Oxford will proceed to the state semifinal, wherein they will compete against Tupelo on the 28th.
4. Brandon Bulldogs
The Bulldogs edged Oak Grove, 30-27, keeping their season alive. Despite their 7-5 record, they are two wins away from earning a state championship. However, before getting there, Brandon must first defeat Gulfport in their Class 7A semifinal showdown on November 28.

5. Gulfport Admirals
The Admirals made easy work of Petal, 45-10, to keep their winning streak alive. Parker Nettles threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns, while Cooper Crosby added 105 rushing yards and two TDs. On defense, Gulfport generated 13 tackles for losses and two interceptions. The Admirals can extend their streak to nine games by beating Brandon in the Mississippi high school football Class 7A semifinals on the 28th.
