Kenny Dallas steps down as Hebron Christian Academy (Ga.) HFC
One of the Georgia’s top private high school football head coaches has decided he’s going to step away to accept a role in the church ministry.
According to a press release by Hebron Christian Academy on Tuesday, the Lions announced that head football coach Kenny Dallas is stepping down to accept a full-time role as a executive director at a church south of Atlanta.
“For the last 30 years, God has given me the incredible privilege of coaching and teaching young men, and challenging them to become godly men,” Dallas said in a statement via the school. “Hebron has been a special part of that calling, and I am deeply grateful to this school, our administration, and the unwavering support they’ve shown me and our program.”
“I want to sincerely thank Dr. Taylor, Athletic Director Taylor Davis, and the entire Hebron community. To the coaches and especially to the players, you have meant more to me than you’ll ever know. Coaching you has been an honor, and this team will forever hold a special place in my heart. As I step away from coaching to follow God’s leading into full-time ministry, please know that I am always in your corner. I will always be just a call away. God bless each of you and your families.”
Dallas, who has two-time Georgia high school football championship coach, once at Trinity Christian in 2021 and this past season at Hebron Christian Academy. The Lions won last season’s Class AA private school state title, beating Calvary Day, 28-21.
