Drake Maye conducted free camp for Hawaii high school football athletes
Drake Maye is still engaging in football despite the NFL offseason. As Conor Langs of the West Hawaii Today reported, the New England Patriots quarterback conducted a free football clinic while on vacation with his wife in the Aloha State.
The 23-year-old runner-up in last season’s NFL Most Valuable Player Award voting shared his football knowledge with 50 Hawaii high school football quarterbacks and wide receivers. Former NFL player Rich Miano helped organize the free camp held at Konawaena High School. Three girls’ flag football players were among the campers.
Assisting Drake Maye and Rich Miano in facilitating the camp are former NFL wide receiver John Ursua, Kahuku head coach Sterling Carvalho, and Konawaena head coach Brad Uemoto, among others.
Maye worked with the quarterback, particularly on their throwing motion, footwork, weight transfer, and follow-through. The 2025 Second-team All-Pro quarterback also threw passes to the wideouts in attendance.
