Arkansas signee Abdou Toure shines in pair of City of Palms victories for Notre Dame (Conn.)
Notre Dame boys basketball made the trek from West Haven, Conn. to Fort Myers, Fla. for the City of Palms Classic Sunshine Series.
While it didn’t partake in the primary tournament at the event, it did go 2-0 this weekend, defeating a pair of notable Sunshine State programs in Olympia and St. Thomas Aquinas. The Green Knights were carries by senior shooting guard Abdou Toure.
First, on Saturday in a 75-61 victory over Olympia, Toure scored 41 points on 16-20 shooting. He got to the rim with ease and also drained a pair of 3-pointers while also adding eight rebounds, four steals, three blocks and three assists.
He didn’t slow down on Sunday. As Notre Dame dispatched of STA in a 72-62 win, Toure poured in 37 more points in another efficient showing. He shot 15-23 from the floor and added 11 boards, three assists, two steals and two blocks.
That’s 78 points in two games against top-15 teams in Florida — per the Rivals Composite Rankings. Notre Dame ranks as the No. 68 team nationally and is also the top-ranked team in Connecticut. Toure is the star of the show for the Green Knights.

The 6-foot-5, 185-pounder is an Arkansas signee and could be one of the next great guards to flourish under John Calipari. Toure is the No. 34 overall prospect and No. 9 shooting guard in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies.
Toure committed to the Razorbacks on Oct. 3. The playmaker is dominating as a senior and will be primed to make an immediate impact as a freshman in Fayetteville next season.
“I picked Arkansas because I love what coach Cal is about and to be part of a team with a real shot at winning a national championship,” Toure told Rivals’ Joe Tipton. “I trust the coaches because they’re straight up with me and have a solid plan for how to help me get better and help me become the best player I can become.”
