2027 4-star wide receiver Khalil Taylor dazzles in playoff win
One of Pennsylvania high school football’s top players was on full display in Pine-Richland’s 42-10 playoff victory over Shaler Area on Friday night in 2027 four-star wide receiver Khalil Taylor.
The No. 4-ranked player in the Keystone State scored four times via a catch, interception, punt and kick returns for touchdowns in the win for the Rams.
Taylor was ruled eligible for the 2025 WPIAL postseason back in mid-September after previously ruled ineligible back in mid-August by the association.
The fleet-footed wide receiver transferred from Seton-LaSalle to Pine-Richland, the state’s No. 10-ranked team, during the off-season.
Taylor was arguably one of the best players in the state of the 2024 season with the kind of numbers he was putting up at Seton LaSalle. The 2026 wide receiver hauled in 51 passes for 932 yards and scored 22 touchdowns in helping lead the Rebels to a 11-1 record and reaching the WPIAL championship game.

The Rivals Industry Rankings, which combines Rivals, 247Sports and ESPN for a cumulative grade, also rate him highly at No. 72 overall, 12 at receiver and fourth overall in the Keystone State.
“Khalil Taylor put together some dominant film,” said Rivals Scouting Director Charles Power. “He’s outstanding with the ball in his hands. I mean, you know it’s going to be good when you’re watching a sophomore and he has a highlight film of just touchdowns. He had a dominant sophomore year with 24 touchdowns and close to 1,300 yards. He has a well-rounded skill set. He’s a guy who can separate with his routes. I think he’s really good with the ball in his hands and has the potential to be a YAC (yards after catch) monster.”
