Elite 2026 recruit Olivia Vukosa commits to UConn
Elite 2026 recruit Olivia Vukosa has committed to UConn, she announced. Vukosa chose the Huskies over Ohio State, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, LSU and Texas.
“I think I have a pretty versatile game,” Olivia Vukosa told Rivals in a previous interview. “I can bully someone down low or bring them outside. Something I definitely want to work on before college is dribbling – being more confident bringing the ball down myself instead of having to give it up to a guard at halfcourt.”
There were several factors Vukosa was looking for in a landing spot.
“I definitely want a family environment,” Vukosa told Rivals. “I want to walk on campus and feel relaxed, not feel really congested. I want to feel focused. I also really need that family atmosphere – having a staff that I can go up to and say I need help with something instead of going to my parents. They won’t be there all the time. I’d rather have a close-knit family kind of team.”

Her relationship with Geno Auriemma grew throughout her recruitment and was an important piece in her commitment.
“I mean, everyone knows Geno [Auriemma], so he’s a very mellow guy, but we talk pretty frequently,” Vukosa said. “I also talk to Morgan Valley a lot too, and Chris Dailey. They’re all great people.”
