Notre Dame transfer WR Rico Flores Jr. commits to UCLA Bruins

Notre Dame transfer wide receiver Rico Flores Jr. committed to the UCLA Bruins, he announced on his Twitter page on Friday evening.

This year, Flores hauled in 27 catches for 392 yards and a touchdown. His best game came against Wake Forest, when he hauled in eight catches for 102 receiving yards.

He played his high school football for Folsom (Folsom, California). The 6-foot-1, 195-pound wide receiver was rated as a four-star recruit and the No. 240 overall player in America, according to the On3 Industry Rankings for the 2023 cycle.

One of the most decorated prospects in the country, Flores was picked to play in the 2023 All-American Bowl. He wrapped up his career at Folsom as one of the best players in school history, hauling in 201 catches for 3,222 yards and 32 touchdowns. The California native shined on the camp circuit, earning wide receiver MVP honors at the ESPN Elite 300 Underclassmen Camp.

When he chose the Fighting Irish out of high school, Flores picked them over offers from California, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, and many others.
