Le'Veon Moss injury update: Texas A&M RB exits College Football Playoff game vs. Miami
Texas A&M running back Le’Veon Moss exited Saturday’s College Football Playoff game against Miami in the third quarter. He was seen limping off the field and went into the medical tent.
The Hurricanes led 3-0 at the time of the injury. Moss earned a first down on a 3rd-and-1, but had to exit the field.
In a defensive battle, Moss was limited to seven carries for 15 yards and one catch for five yards prior to his injury. His status to return is currently questionable.
Moss was later seen heading into the tunnel towards the locker room, with his helmet off. He had a towel draped over his head, signaling the injury was not a good sign.
Coming into the game, Moss played just six games this season. He had 70 carries for 389 yards, six touchdowns and 5.6 yards per carry.
Now in his fourth season with the Aggies, Moss has not completed a full season of college football, getting a career high in games with nine last year and in 2023. He has 314 carries for 1,752 yards, 22 touchdowns and 5.6 yards per carry.

Saturday’s game marked the return of Moss after missing the Aggies’ final six regular season games. The break from Thanksgiving weekend to the CFP was enough time to recover and suit back up for Texas A&M.
Moss’ best game of the season came against Auburn on Sept. 27. In the Aggies’ 16-10 win, the Walker, LA native rushed for 139 yards and one score. Moss was on his way to having another big game against Florida two weeks later before he suffered the untimely injury. He was given five rushing attempts, which he took for 46 yards and a touchdown.
Moss has been rehabbing ever since, and head coach Mike Elko hinted last month that he had progressing as expected. Sure enough, he at least played Saturday.
“The timeline is still exactly what we anticipated from the beginning,” Elko said on Nov. 3. “It’s still too early to tell whether that’s going to move or not. So, you know, we’re hopeful that, by the end of the regular season, we’ll have a chance to get him back out there. Certainly, we feel very confident for anything beyond the end of the regular season, if that presents itself.”
