Texas transfer RB Christian Clark commits to South Carolina
Texas transfer running back Christian Clark committed to South Carolina out of the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Clark, a redshirt freshman last season, will have three years of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot and 212-pound Clark rushed for 236 yards and two touchdowns on 55 carries in eight games this past season with the Longhorns. He also caught four passes for 57 yards. Clark missed the entire 2024 season after suffering a season-ending injury during Fall camp that forced him to redshirt.
Clark signed with Texas as a four-start prospect in the 2024 recruiting cycle out of Mountain Pointe (Phoenix, Ariz.), where he was the No. 6 player out of Arizona, the No. 23-ranked running back in the class and the No. 333 overall recruit, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting media companies. In high school, Clark racked up 1,890 rushing yards and 24 rushing touchdowns in his three-year varsity career. He was named to the 6A All-Region team in 2023.
Clark is the 19th transfer and third running back to commit to South Carolina since the two-week portal window opened Jan. 2nd, joining former Penn State tailback Jabree Wallace-Coleman and former Ohio State tailback Sam Williams-Dixon.

Penn State transfer RB Jabree Coleman commits to South Carolina out of NCAA Transfer Portal
Former Penn State freshman running back Jabree Coleman committed to transfer to South Carolina out of the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. It reunites Coleman with new Gamecocks RBs coach Stan Drayton, who served as his position coach last season in Happy Valley.
Coleman will have all four years of collegiate elibility remaining after redshirting during his true freshman season in 2025. The 6-foot, 212-pound Coleman signed with Penn State as a four-star prospect in the 2025 recruiting cycle out of Imhotep Charter (Philadelphia, Pa.), where he was the No. 6-ranked player out of Pennsylvania, the No. 24 running back in the class and No. 341 player overall, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting media companies.
They join a rebuilt Gamecocks roster that returns its three biggest stars from last season — QB LaNorris Sellers, WR Nyck Harbor and EDGE Dylan Stewart — ahead of a bounceback 2026 campaign. South Carolina will be hungry for a bounce-back season after posting a 5-7 record in 2025.
