Report: NCAA grants seventh year of eligibility to South Carolina pass rusher Jordan Strachan
South Carolina Gamecocks EDGE rusher Jordan Strachan was granted a seventh year of eligibility by the NCAA, according to Mike Uva.
“EDGE Jordan Strachan has officially been granted a seventh year of (eligibility) by the NCAA,” Strachan wrote on Twitter. “Strachan tore his ACL last season in Week 2.”
Strachan started his career at Georgia State and played there for three seasons. He spent the last two with South Carolina.

In his college career, Strachan has 111 total tackles, 63 solo tackles, 24.5 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, one interception, four pass deflections, three fumble recoveries and three forced fumbles.
As a member of the Class of 2017, Strachan was a three-star recruit out of Kingsland (Ga.) Camden County, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 283 overall prospect in the state, the No. 301 linebacker in the class and the No. 2,550 overall prospect in the class.
